Social Studies
The Board of Regents, at the April 29, 2014 meeting, adopted theÌýÉ«ÖÐÉ« K-12 Social Studies FrameworkÌýas the foundation for Social Studies in É«ÖÐÉ«.Ìý The É«ÖÐÉ« K-12 Social Studies Framework was revised in 2016 and 2017 and is now fully implemented in grades K-12.
The Framework based U.S. History Regents Exam will be the only U.S. History Regents Exam offered from this point forward.Ìý The U.S. Framework Based Regents exam will be administered on June 1, 2023.Ìý The Framework based Global History Regents exam was implemented in 2019.
É«ÖÐÉ« has five specific content areas for standards:
- History of the United States and New York
- World History
- Geography
- Economics
- Civics, Citizenship, and Government
